Wil Martinez, Co-Founder and Managing Partner
As Managing Partner is responsible for Corporate Strategy, and Sales and Marketing.
Prior to founding Meridian Partners, he was the Southeast Regional Director for Breakaway Solutions, an international publicly traded consultancy. He was also the Florida Group Manager for Cambridge Technology Partners, a Boston-based consultancy.
Mr. Martinez has helped to secure and deliver solutions to clients such as the South Florida Water Management District, Miami Dade County Public Schools, Patriot Rail, the Houston Independent School District and RailAmerica, and many more.
Mr. Martinez completed his undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, and currently serves on the Lutron IT Advisory Council and on the Board of the Save our Sick Kids Foundation.
Jose B. Aleman, Co-Founder and Advisor
Mr. Aleman is an advisor to Meridian Partners.
Mr. Aleman was instrumental in securing and delivering work at clients such as the United Nations, Ryder System, Miami Dade College, InterAmerican Development Bank, United Nations Relief and Works Agency, Jefferson County (Alabama), and Florida Crystals, among others. He has more than 24 years of experience in information technology, as both a consultant and a company officer. In the 1990’s he founded a technology staff augmentation firm, Integrated Systems Group and was a partner and product manager for PC Works and its premier financial product, MultiCalc.
Mr. Aleman is currently the Chairman of the School Board of Christopher Columbus High School in Miami. He has served on boards or committees of St. John’s Montessori Academy, City of Miami Beach Hispanic Affairs Committee and the City of Miami Beach Community Relations Board in support of his local community.
Mr. Aleman holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Florida
Greg Valyou, SVP Strategy and Solutions
As the SVP of Strategy and Solutions, Mr. Valyou's responsibilities include the client journey from acquisition to successful roll-out and delivery of the latest innovative enterprise solutions.
Mr. Valyou has 20 years of enterprise leadership experience ranging from his early career as a consultant, project program and project Manager to CIO/ CTO, and technology executive.
His background includes supporting a diverse set of industries with both domestic and international experience, including Florida Blue, Jet Blue, the United Nations, Miami Dade College, Polk County Public Schools, Miami Dade County Public Schools, and many more. He has a proven track record of executing projects and delivering results on time and on budget that are aligned with client’s business strategy.
Mr. Valyou has authored and delivered numerous presentations and publications focused on the adoption of new transformational technologies, including a Barnes & Noble Press published book, "Artificial Intelligence - Get Ready for Tomorrow" and as a featured author on LinkedIn Big Data section with 4 million+ readers.
He earned a degree in Economics from the University at Albany in New York, OMMBA from University at Buffalo, School of Management, a Certificate in Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management from University of Virginia, Darden School of Business and holds a PMP (Project Management Professional) designation from PMI (The Project Management Institute).
Within the community, Mr. Valyou has been recognized for his service to federally funded Head Start as a Community Board Member and for his donation of hundreds of backpacks complete with school supplies to the local school district to help ensure that all children have the resources they need to be successful.
Kim Burky, Vice President Public Sector Solutions
As the VP of Public Sector Solutions, Ms. Burky is responsibilities include strategy, planning, coordinating, and leading all activities related to the design, development, maintenance and implementation of Meridian's public sector solutions.
Ms. Burly has 25 years of leadership and tactical experience in process redesign, software configuration, project management, application lifecycle management, training and analytics for various software solutions with concentration in SAP. She has led numerous SAP implementation, upgrade, analytics and business transformation projects including HANA migration.
Her experience includes executive roles with The Hershey Company, Deloitte Consulting, PA State System of Higher Education, the Commonwealth of PA, and supporting and advising many public sector clients.
She holds a BS in Business Management from Lebanon Valley College, PA, and a MS in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University of PA.
Bernardo Camarena, Vice President, Analytics
As the VP of Analytics, Mr. Camarena's responsibilities include the strategy, planning, coordinating, and supervision of all activities related to the design, development, maintenance and implementation of Meridian's data driven solutions.
This includes a strong focus on SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Business Objects (BOBJ) and Enterprise Performance Management (BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation and Profitability and Cost Management) applications.
Mr. Camarena was previously the Division Director for the SAP Center of Excellence at the South Florida Water Management District and during his 10 year tenure at the SFWMD, he led the successful implementation of SAP at the agency. He has also supported many successful projects at Miami Dade County Public Schools, School Board of Broward County, Polk County Public Schools, and the Commonwealth of PA.
He holds an MBA from the University of Miami and a BA in Computer Studies from the University of Maryland.
