SAP Project Manager

DESCRIPTION: 
The SAP Project Manager maintains the implementation project plan. The Project Manager is expected to follow current SAP implementation methodologies (most common ASAP but projects may use A2O or Activate). Strong financial, managerial and communication skills required. The SAP Project Manager is responsible for developing work plans, managing deadlines, and coordinating team activities, estimating project skill requirements, working with deployment to identify appropriate resources and managing their integration into the team, defining and agreeing on deliverables and milestones, setting and controlling scope, as well as communicating status and vision to senior management and stakeholders. 
 
Responsibilities –
 
  • Maintain the overall project implementation plan.
  • Ability to accurately estimate project timeline and hours.    
  • Provide quality assurance, work plan monitoring and updates to the stakeholders as per the project implementation methodology. 
  • Review and coordinate the completion of all project deliverables.
  • Maintain a catalog of all issues related to the project. 
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risk.
  • Monitor time and expense budgets and take pro-active action as needed
  • Conduct staff meetings and Steering Committee meetings as needed
 
Requirements –
 
  • 5+ years of SAP ERP and/or SAP Analytics
  • A minimum of 2 full life cycle implementations 
  • Project management experience and able to structure and scope a design project and to manage a project through to completion.
  • PMP certification a plus
  • SAP ERP or S4/HANA functional experience a plus 
  • Knowledge of SAP data conversion and security best practices 
  • Testing experience and/or automated testing tools experience such as HPQC a plus
  • Strong leadership, ownership, and personal drive to solve problems.
  • Team player and able to guide and influence to achieve end goals.
  • Ability to think strategically and at the same time be operationally hands-on when the circumstances desire
  • Good communicator in business language on and VP- and C-Level
  • Process oriented thinking
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (4 days a week as needed, home on weekend – based on project requirements)
