SAP HCM (HR) Business Analyst

Job Overview
The HCM (HR) Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for the day-to-day activities and tasks assigned to support the SAP HCM modules including HR & Payroll (with an emphasis on the Personnel Administration and Organizational Management (PA/OM) and Benefits modules).  The HCM BA is the functional system expert for the PA/OM/Benefit modules and is also responsible for supporting master data elements, and interfaces between SAP and HCM external systems. Job responsibility also includes requirements gathering, documentation and support for PA/OM/Benefit projects and enhancements request.  The HCM BA acts as the interlocutor between the business users and the SAP HCM technical and ABAP development team. The key to success in this position is the ability to translate business requirements into functional design specifications, configuration or initial setting suggestions, module-relevant security settings, and reporting options.  Strong communication skills both written and verbal are critical to the position. 
  • Support:
    • Provide daily support for the PA/OM and/or Benefits functional/technical areas within the SAP landscape.
    • Provide daily support for third party applications with integration points to SAP HCM modules.
    • Recording/providing status on issues.
    • Troubleshooting/analysis of issues.
    • Identification of possible solutions.
    • Testing of solutions.
    • Monitoring of solutions in the production environment.
  • Enhancements and Projects:
    • Participation in design discussions and requirement gathering.
    • Document requirements.
    • Provide analysis, identification of options, presentation of options/considerations.
    • Coordination with other functional/technical teams.
    • Coordinate testing options in coordination with business users.
    • Production support of enhancements and Projects.
  • 5+ years of SAP HCM ERP functional experience:
    • Understanding of SAP full life-cycle activities for the HR functional area including requirements definition (blueprinting), system configuration, integration testing, documentation, end user training, and on-going support. 
    • Proven experience with the enterprise and personnel structures, number ranges, personal, organizational and payroll data.
    • Proven experience with dynamic actions, info groups, features, pay scale group and levels,
    • Knowledge of Personnel Administration, Organizational Management and Benefit and how they integrate with each other and other HCM modules.
    • HCM reporting (HCM Queries, ABAP Queries) and an understanding of tables and structures.
    • A minimum of 1 full life cycle implementations.
    • Configuration experience a plus but not required.
    • Kronos experience (functional or configuration) a plus but not required.
  • Team player and able to guide and influence to achieve end goals.
  • Self-initiative with the ability to work independently once requirements have been defined.
  • Process oriented thinking.
  • Ability to understand business processes and offer best practice solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Four-year degree in Information Technology or Business discipline or equivalent business experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (4 days a week as needed, home on weekend – based on project requirements). Most work will be remote.
